Through sponsoring organizations, kids show they have met our
requirements for earning their bike. There are a wide range of
activities, when performed for at least 15 hours, that earn a
bicycle. Also, book reading can be used to satisfy the
requirements.
What kids have
done to earn their bikes:
- neighborhood and park
clean-up
- gardening and yard work
- painting fences
- recycling
- helping with clean-up
chores, errands and clerical work at their neighborhood centre

- fixing up bikes and helping
set up a neighborhood bike repair shop
- reading to kindergarten
students
- practicing kind handling of
animals
- stocking food pantries
- helping elderly at nursing
homes and hospitals
- supervising toddlers at the
YMCA
- providing childcare for
individual families
- helping out at their church
- participating in bicycle
safety rodeos
- organizing and
participating in neighborhood dances, festivals and carnivals
- producing a promotional
video for their neighborhood centre

Winners mural

drug-free and fight-free programs
